For the (street) theater piece 'CROSXXXSING' by Geo Wyeth in collaboration with Showroom MAMA, we are on the outlook for enthusiastic creative youngsters between 13 and 17 year who love to sing and dance this summer.
Performance: CROSXXXSING THE SONG by Geo Wyeth

MAMA’s new ‘Coolstof’ series starts with CROSXXXSING THE SONG, a series of workshops and a performance by New York multidisciplinary artist Geo Wyeth, which takes the idea of crossing – gender, ideas, culture – and asks: how and when do we cross? What do our crossings leave behind? When should we stay in the middle? A selected group, aged 13 to 17, join Wyeth for a series of workshops culminating in a piece of musical street theatre. Using Geo’s character of ‘The CrosxxxSing Guard’, participants explore ideas of ‘crossing’ in history, popular culture, and in our lives.

Join US artist Geo Wyeth for a series of workshops culminating in a public music performance on Witte de Withstraat. Using Geo’s character of ‘The CrosxxxSing Guard’ participants explore ideas of ‘crossing’ in history, popular culture, and our own lives. Based on our research, we will create our own characters and present them in our performance on 10 Sept in the middle of the street.
