From 13 July to 16 September 2012, Showroom MAMA presents The Silent Clowns, an exhibition that takes slapstick and physical forms of humor as its starting point. Slapstick is a world of disasters and conflicts. A place of chaos, and where chance reigns.
Continuing the slapstick theme, MAMA is staging the performance "the small and the big" by modern dancers Melanie Wirz and Jacob White as part of The World of Witte De With Festival. For the performance the dancers respond to the clown-like qualities of William Claassen's (NL, 1978) space-filling installation by combining classic slapstick elements with modern dance. The performance can be seen through the windows of the showroom, thus the exhibition functions as a stage and the street as an auditorium.

The openinghours during the festival are:
Friday 14 September: 13:00 - 23:00
Saturday 15 september: 12:00 - 23:00
Sunday 16 september: 12:00 - 18:00

Friday 14 and saturday 15 September: 20:30 en 22:00 h (4 performances)
