Naar aanleiding van zijn deelname aan de tentoonstelling Streetmodernism heeft MAMA aan Philip Metten (BE 1977) een speciale opdracht verstrekt: maak een nieuw werk dat zijn premiere heeft tijdens het festival 'de Wereld van Witte de With'. Metten bouwt op dit moment een mobiele sculptuur a.k.a. een volledig gepimpte truck die als podium zal fungeren voor dagelijkse optredens van de noise band ' Quasar Noise Lab' (Q.N.L.).
Het collectief Q.N.L. is in 2006 door Philip Metten opgericht ter gelegenheid van zijn solo-tentoonstelling "Noise of Quasar" in het S.M.A.K. Gent en bestaat uit: Philip Metten (concept), Toon Aerts (film), Romeo Hoornaert (costumes), Tom Tosseyn (graphic design), Aldo Struyf en Dave Schroyen (music). En ja, die laatste twee namen ken je misschien van Millionaire, Creature with the Atombrain, Mark Lanegan Band...

Following his participation in Streetmodernism MAMA gave a special assignment to Philip Metten (BE 1977): develop a new work that will have his debute during the festival 'De Wereld van Witte de With'. This work - a mobile sculpture a.k.a. highly restyled truck - is currently being built and will act as a podium for daily performances of the noise band 'Quasar Noise Lab' (Q.N.L). The collective is founded by Metten in 2006 at the occasion of his solo show in S.M.A.K. Gent featuring: Philip Metten (concept), Toon Aerts (film), Romeo Hoornaert (costumes), Tom Tosseyn (graphic design), Aldo Struyf and Dave Schroyen (music). And surely you know these last two names from working with Millionaire, Creature with the Atombrain, Mark Lanegan Band...
