Na het grote succes van de Mister Miyagi - Curating Tommorow edities in 2005 en 2006 is MAMA blij om de start van Mister Miyagi - Curating Tomorrow 2007 aan te kondigen. Hiermee zetten ze het prikkelende onderwijsprogramma voort. Het doel hiervan is om zinvolle leermogelijkheden te creëren voor nieuwe curatoren of voor mensen die denken dat curator hét beroep voor hen is. Over het programma Het Mr. Miyagi curators programme biedt een selecte groep van jonge curatoren de mogelijkheid om mee te doen aan een programma waarin ze worden bijgestaan door een internationale groep van mentoren. De geselecteerde kandidaten doen mee aan workshops en werken samen met de hulp van de mentoren aan het ontwikkelen van een project dat in december 2007 te zien zal zijn in Rotterdam. Het programma is een van MAMA's onderwijsinitiatieven. Het doel hiervan is het opbouwen van capaciteit en vakkundigheid voor de volgende generatie die zich gaat bezighouden met kunst & cultuur door het aanbieden van een combinatie van gerichte beroepservaring én leren. Ter afsluiting van het programma ontwikkelen de deelnemers een project dat het talent van jonge pas afgestudeerde kunstenaars laat zien. Die jonge kunstenaars profiteren hier dus ook van. Hoe kan ik meedoen? Als je denkt dat je de volgende getalenteerde en creatieve curator bent of denkt dat curator hét beroep voor jou is, schrijf je dan in door het formulier in te vullen. After the great success of the Mister Miyagi - Curating Tomorrow editions in 2005 and 2006, MAMA is pleased to announce the launch of Mister Miyagi - Curating Tomorrow 2007. This sees the continuation of this exciting education programme opportunity. The aim of the programme is to provide relevant learning opportunities for new curators and people who think that becoming a curator may be a career for them. About the Programme The Mr. Miyagi Curators Programme will offer an opportunity for a select group of young curators to take part in a programme that will involve them being supported by an international group of mentor curators. Those selected will participate in workshops and work together with the support of the mentors to produce a project that will be shown in Rotterdam in December 2007. The programme is one of MAMA's education initiatives, the Mr. Miyagi projects. It aims to build capacity and skill for the next generation of cultural practitioners through relevant vocational experience and learning. And, in keeping with the overall ethos of the programme, they will develop a project that will showcase talented young artists who've just graduated. So, it will also benefit young artists and continue to address a younger visual arts audience. So How Can I Be Involved?
