In het kader van het Cultuurtraject biedt MAMA de komende weken plek aan Lastplak. In samenwerking met SKVR (Kunst van Rotterdammers) krijgen middelbare scholieren de unieke kans om een dag mee te lopen en werken met dit kunstenaarscollectief. Gezamenlijk leveren de leerlingen een bijdrage aan een muurschildering die enkele weken voor voorbijgangers te zien is. De muurschildering wordt gedoopt tijdens een speciale opening op 19 december. Lastplak is een multidisciplinair kunstenaars- collectief met Rotterdam als thuisbasis. Achtergronden van de deelnemers variëren van graffitispuiters, beeldend kunstenaars, kunstacademiestudenten, grafisch ontwerpers en designers tot workshopdocenten en sociaal werkers. Lastplak maakt gezamenlijk schilderijen, grafisch (druk-)werk en (muur-)schilderingen waarin individuele stijlen en kenmerken met elkaar gemengd worden tot een bonte collectieve collage. Het Cultuurtraject is in de vier grote steden Amsterdam, Den Haag, Rotterdam en Utrecht ontwikkeld om leerlingen in de eerste drie leerjaren van het voortgezet onderwijs systematisch in aanraking te brengen met kunst en cultuur. De centra voor kunsteducatie in deze steden fungeren in het Cultuurtraject telkens als coördinerende instantie. In Rotterdam is dat de SKVR. |
Next weeks, MAMA offers her showroom to the Rotterdam graffiti collective Lastplak as part of the cultuurtraject. In collaboration with SKVR (Art for Rotterdam citizens) high-school kids get the unique opportunity to get a tutorial of the artists. Together, they paint a mural that's on view for passers by for a couple of weeks. Friday the 19th of December, the mural will be baptised during a special opening party. Lastplak is a multidisciplinary art collective. The educational skills from the different members varies from DIY graffiti-artists, artists, graphic designers, art-school students to social workers. Lastplak makes all its paintings, graphic prints and murals in collaboration. Individual styles get mixed up in an colourful collective collage.  The Cultuurtraject is developed in the four major cities of the Netherlands to get High School kids in contact with art and culture on a structural basis. The centres for cultural education in this cities work as coordinators. In Rotterdam, the SKVR is the centre for cultural education. Links SKVR Lastplak |
