Begin dit jaar werden we uitgenodigd om een show te maken in Wenen door Kunstraum Niederösterreich, een van de deelnemers aan de door MAMA in februari georganiseerde ‘kunstbeurs' Project(or). Kunstraum NOE presenteerde op Project(or) Rainer Prohaska's Salmon Sculpture Saloon. Love Design Delirium verkent de bandbreedte van een generatie die zich voedt met humor, naïviteit, poëzie en spel, in combinatie met een sterk geloof in de kracht van ‘de scenius'; de creatieve stuwkracht van individuen in groepsverband. Kenmerkend aan de visuele beeldtaal is een persoonlijke notie, die tegelijkertijd universeel menselijk handelen reflecteert. Absurd en sensitief, blinken de werken uit in liefde voor het leven en compassie met de omgeving. In een gejaagde, productgeoriënteerde en mediageregeerde samenleving is een dergelijke relativerende lichtvoetigheid een noodzaak, een waar levenselixer dat ons bij de les houdt: Ja! Leven! Doen! At the beginning of this year, we were invited to make a show in Vienna by Kunstraum Niederösterreich, one of the participants of the Project(or) Art Fair that was organised by MAMA in February 2008. Kunstraum NOE presented on Project(or) Rainer Prohaska's Salmon Sculpture Saloon. Love, Design Delirium explores the breadth of a generation that nourishes itself on humour, naivety, poetry and play, combined with a strong belief in the power of ‘the scenius'; the creative drive of individuals in a group. Their visual language is characterized by a personal notion, which simultaneously reflects universal human actions. Absurd and sensitive, the works excel in conveying a love of life and compassion for the surroundings. In a hectic, product-oriented and media-controlled society, such an agile ability to put things into perspective is essential, a true elixir of life that keeps us alert: Yes! Live! Do it!
